A while back I stumbled upon a book titled “Free Agent Nation” by Daniel Pink. The book tells of the ever-increasing number of people who are taking their incomes back from out of the hands of employers. Memories of that book are coming back to me in waves as I think about a life away from the security of a regular paycheck (i.e., the employee life).

As I read other blog posts of other webcomic creators and listen to the Webcomics Weekly podcasts, I get more and more anxious to venture out on my own.

If you are a fellow webcomic creator, take some time to read “Free Agent Nation.” I hope it burns a fire under you like it has me!
