After I finished this particular strip, I wondered if something of this nature would have been allowed in the newspaper. It’s not over the top (no pun intended), but it may be borderline.
The good thing about webcomics is that we can get feedback directly from the reader instead of an editor at a paper who thinks he knows what people like.
