I have heard that we all should talk to each other with the vocabulary of an 8th grader.
Advocates state such diction employs the lowest common denominator among adults.
Oops! I mean “Folks who think that way say talking with little words makes things easy to understand by lots of grown ups.”

Knowledge would appear to alienate some people. I try not to worry about it – I’m not working in marketing, after all, nor do I spend my leisure time in trying to market my life.

What?!! You don’t believe in the concept of hauling the excellent down to the same “level playing field” as those great masters of modern free verse, who utter such poetic gold as:
“Like, you know, um,
She said that he said that we should,
Like, go down to the mall and,
Like, you know,
Hang out and junk.”

Un-American, I say! Such visionaries have sacrificed their vocabularies for the greater good, to avoid such discrimination by the intelligent against the droolingly idiotic. The mindless must be protected from the abuses of the intellect! You must be made to conform!
The Pelosinator 2000 will be on its way to remove your brain and soak it in a large vat of “Tide”, after which you will be subjected to several hundred hours of “American Idol” reruns and Britney Spears music. You will comply. Resistance is futile.

“…and junk.” Hilarious!
Anybody else seen the movie “Idiocracy”? It makes you think… or not think… or something. Whatever.
