Pork Skins

I now eat kosher, not necessarily Rabbinical kosher, but more Biblical kosher. Regardless, it means no more pork skins for me.

Growing up and living in New Mexico makes it a bit tough to eat kosher. So much of Mexican food involves pork and lard.

If you eat anything deep fried that tastes simply fantastic, it was probably fried using lard. I’m just saying.

If I get that age, I am not eating fruit anymore either.

I used to think that, if I made it to 80, I would start eating bad and take up smoking again since I was on “gravy” time. That may not be right, but I still flirt with the idea.

When I saw the title to this comic I thought it was going to be about a guy getting a boner while at work and going to increasingly desperate lengths to keep it hidden.

Then I read it and can’t decide if I should be relived or disappointed.

That… never occurred to me. Interesting perspective, though.

So no deep fried snickers or twinkies?

Hahaha… yeah I always have to watch the lard factor. I think I’m doing so good…and then I’m like “dang, I didn’t ask if they use lard to cook!” I’m still learning :) Very good, very good. I like it!

@Shane: Deep fried snickers and twinkies may be ok if you use healthy substitutes like canola oil. Yeah, that makes it heart-friendly I guess.

@Carrie: At one Mexican food restaurant I went to, the guy told me that there was lard in everything. I’m hoping he didn’t mean the drinks too.

Her neck looks like it’s made of deep fried pork skin
