Sanitation is paramount in the restaurant world… or it’s supposed to be.
For those of us who have worked in restaurants, we know that may not always be the case.
Yet we all still eat there. I guess we’ve gotta let some stuff slide.

Well at least he’s trying to be sanitary. Sort of. Kind of.

The less we know about the practices of restaurant kitchens, the better.

I used to work at a place that will remain unmentioned that I couldn’t eat at for 4 years after knowing who the cooks were.

I will say this, when I worked at Chili’s, the cooks worked clean, wore clean clothes, and did whatever they could to make sure the food was cooked right. BTW, I’m not being paid to say that. But I wouldn’t mind being paid to say it.

I am so relieved that she ate it herself instead of passing it off to someone else.

I would be more upset if he threw out the piece of meat. Someone should eat it. No sense in letting good food go to waste.

Haha this is so disgusting, yet so true. For fundraisers, several times a year, I work concessions at football games. The way we make the food is such a disturbing process, but still, since I don’t have to pay for it, I’ll eat it.

Yep. It’s amazing what we’ll eat for free. I used to eat “leather dogs” when I worked at the movie theaters – they were horribly overcooked hot dogs that we couldn’t, in good conscience, serve to the public. I ate them with nacho cheese on ‘em.

Tony, did you have steak?
May 20th, 2011 at 11:28 pm
No I had crumbed scallops, chips & salad & Michelle had roast lamb & vegies. But that gross chef could’ve cooked them too…

Who would have thought that movie “Waiting…” was based on a true story?
“Don’t f___ with the people who handle your food!”

Never saw “Waiting…” but, judging by the quote, I think I have a general idea of what it may be about.
