Here’s a comic that’s good ’cause it’s for a good cause. Notice the shirt. Now head over to Bearman’s site Beartoons.com. There you’ll see what I’m talking about.
I’m in the process of increasing my “hustle factor.” No, that’s not a dirty thing and I’m not aiming to be a shyster. I’m increasing my efforts in getting jobs for my business and making money. Money can come from not hustling, but a lot of times no hustling=no jobs. Sad but true. I gotta [...]
This strip is special, the girl’s likeness is based on a girl I know. I knew I couldn’t completely capture her exact image but I hoped to tap into some of her essence. I still think I didn’t do her justice. Don’t think I ever could.
This is a very true thing with me. For some reason the ladies start looking better the more bundled up they get. Within reason, mind you. Eskimo gear can be a bit much.
Perk: Five Point Perspective Q & A Q: What are your vital statistics when it comes to: Age? A: “I don’t like telling people my age because I haven’t finished college yet. I’m not insecure about it… well, I guess I am a little bit. Ok, I’m 27.” Height? A: “Five-ten and a half. Not [...]
Though it may or may not be obvious, Perk is walking around a schoolyard when the kids aren’t there. Such a place has an odd feel. You can almost hear the kids voices bounce off the slides and swings and such. I don’t know if it’s the remainder of the sounds from the recess or [...]
I’ve been working with a brush and India Ink more recently. I’m starting to get a feel for it, though I’m still in the novice stages. The previous strip “Ye Olde Text” was inked with the brush as well. You may be able to tell a bit of a more relaxed feel to the images. [...]
Everyone likes attention. Few like to be obsessed over. Just thought I’d bring that to your attention.
I’ve been flirting with the idea of trying to barter items for meals at restaurants. It might work if the items is useful or interesting. If I had a Sasquatch foot, that might just do the trick.
Sometimes banks drive me crazy. When we mess up it’s our fault. When they mess up, it’s a technical glitch. Then they charge you for their technical glitch. Sometimes life’s a glitch.
This is the first time we get to see one of Mr. Argyle’s grandchildren. I’ve never dated the daughter of my boss let alone the granddaughter. There seems to be a lot of pressure in that. And work sometimes has enough pressure as it is.
I like coffee, just regular old black coffee. Sure those fancy concoctions can be tasty but they’re so complicated in nature and heavy in sugars. I know. I’m an old fart. You drink your coffee and I’ll drink mine.
Many men suffer from over-thinking when it comes to asking a girl out. There have been some who have thought about creating a support group to help. Those guys are still thinking about it though.
I eat kosher (for the most part). The more I learn about processed food, the more I don’t eat. If I keep on this path, I’ll end up eating only grass from my backyard.
They say to just be yourself when you’re trying to meet girls. They don’t say what to do when “yourself” is a goober. Still, I bet one of these lines might work on one of these girls. One never knows, eh?
I, like most folks, don’t like the fact that some people are homeless. I should do more to help, I guess. But I, like most folks, suffer from “homelessphobia.” I am not perfect.
I’ve heard that there are restaurants that cater to vegans. I have never seen one, but I hear they exist. One day I’d like to eat at one. That would be neat.
There are some who look good serious… some who look good happy… some who look cool… and then there’s the rest of us.
This strip hit close to home because I actually dreamed of this as a child. This was one of my more ambitious goals in life.
What’s that I hear? You don’t text at work? It’s like that old saying: 98% of people do it and 2% lie about not doing it.
“The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” has to be one of my favorite albums of all time – possibly my favorite. This album opened up a world of artistry I could never have imagined on my own. Bob Dylan took folk music and injected his essence into it. This, to me, is the skill of an artist: [...]
Is there such a thing as a Nerd Scale? I’m guessing there is. I have heard talk about a Geek Hierarchy but nothing of a Nerd Scale. I’m sure one exists and I’m sure it’s available on line somewhere but I’m in no mood to do a search. Besides, if one exists and if someone out [...]
After I finished this particular strip, I wondered if something of this nature would have been allowed in the newspaper. It’s not over the top (no pun intended), but it may be borderline. The good thing about webcomics is that we can get feedback directly from the reader instead of an editor at a paper who [...]
