I am Messianic. For those who are unfamiliar, it means I’m a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) and I observe Torah. So this means I’m a “Christian” who celebrates the festivals and feast days in the “Old Testament.” One such would be a New Moon celebration. I don’t tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t do, [...]
When we’re broke, we all look around at other folks and think that they’re doing just fine financially. But sometimes those other folks are in dire straits looking at us as if we’re doing well. We all get broke at one time or another, and usually, we’re all broke at the same time.
Recently I made a strip that dealt with Perk getting sick. Then I got sick on the day it posted. I’m kinda afraid to put this out there for fear of waking up with a crick of my own.
It’s important to get along with someone on your intellectual level. Not only is it important, it’s an attraction. I bet there’s even a mathematical equation for it too.
The whole idea of a Venus Fly Trap is odd to me. Why does one plant need “meat” while another doesn’t? I guess we could also ask why one human needs meat and another doesn’t.
I remember watching “Revenge of the Nerds” as a kid (though I guess I shouldn’t have) and thinking that the nerds were the normal ones. Then I grew up to be kind of a nerd. Is that art influencing life or something like that?
Gamer guys and such like to go home because that’s where their games are. I remember when I was playing a Zelda game a long time ago and couldn’t wait to get home to play it. Zelda is like child’s play compared to the stuff that’s out there now. Still, I like Zelda.
Wren: Five Point Perspective Q & A Q: What are your vital statistics when it comes to: Age? A: “Although curiosity may be the impetus for such a question, ultimately, what does it matter? Besides, perception is, arguably, reality in each person’s eyes. If you perceive me as 30 and I tell you I’m 18 [...]
Do you ever get the feeling that our bodies are telling us that we shouldn’t be working at around 3:00 pm but, rather, taking a nap? I know that I’m not productive in the least when I’m tired. Yet, when I work at a desk job, it’s frowned upon to take a nap at the [...]
This one was done in a cheap sketch book I bought for doodling – as was the Compa strip from last week. I was having some issues with work space and what not so I just did it while I was at the park. I enjoyed drawing at the park very much. Now I go [...]
It’s hard enough for the average Joe to approach a good-looking girl. It’s significantly more difficult when that good-looking girl is in nothing more than a swimsuit. Sometimes it causes a total shutdown of the brain.
I have heard that we all should talk to each other with the vocabulary of an 8th grader. Advocates state such diction employs the lowest common denominator among adults. Oops! I mean “Folks who think that way say talking with little words makes things easy to understand by lots of grown ups.”
Will we ever get to the point where we’re slaves to machines? If you haven’t, check out the recent Sunday strip “Robots”. I still haven’t seen the latest Terminator movie nor any of the TV shows. Just thought I’d throw that in there.
In reality, I’m more the Perk character in real-life situations like this. When people start talking about their character’s strengths and abilities and sidekick animals and what not, I get lost – completely in the dark. I tried to play Dungeons and Dragons once when I was in high school but none of us knew [...]
There’s actually a TV show about a guy who can do this sort of stuff. He walks along the street give me money and approaches people. He’ll ask them about directions read my comic all the time all the while making them do outrageous things. I don’t know if any of it tell all your friends [...]
Well, here we go! We’re breaking away from the counter and into the cafe. Reducing the frequency of this strip from five days a week to three has yielded favorable results. I have heard the the guys at Penny Arcade once explained why they post only three times a week instead of five or seven. [...]
